“WE LOVE PEOPLE,WE LOVE COMMUNITY & WE LOVE COFFEE.”

Roasting speciality coffee is our catalyst for speaking value over people. At every stage of the process, from producers to partnering businesses to customers, we hold quality, authenticity and transparency incredibly high. We pour our passion for people into creating outstanding coffee that carries a narrative – ‘you are significant, you are valued, you are worth it’.

CLO currently hosts three coffee houses and one micro-roastery in Leeds, England. We buy some of the greatest-tasting, ethical coffee on the market from small farms around the world who share our heart for treating people and the planet well.

With each blend, we give full transparency as to where each coffee comes from including the story of the farm and cupping notes featuring great flavours to look out for. Thanks to these relationships, we never have to compromise on taste to buy ethically.

See Significance

We see significance in everyone and believe in giving meaningful opportunities for people to realise their potential.

Our Story

We are CLO Coffee Roasters. A Leeds-based, values-led business built on nurturing communities through speciality coffee.

At CLO, ‘community’ is a verb. It’s a formative action, a joyful persistence, a committed state of being and the central identity of who we are.

We were born out of a desire for connection. In 2008, we made a decision to exchange career dissatisfaction for a growing heart to see loneliness decrease and cohesion increase within our local area. We do this, through coffee.

York Place

From farm to cup, we believe in exposing the positive potential in everyone. At our cafes, roastery and through our many partnerships, we strive to enable an abundance of meaningful opportunities for everyone to seek their personal purpose, in whatever form that may take.

“WE WANT TO MAKE A PRACTICAL DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE’S LIVES. IT’S ALL ABOUT PEOPLE.”

This looks like an open invitation. We ask our volunteers, local vendors, partnering companies and charities to not just observe what we do but to join us in our vision. We provide a quality product for customers and trade ethically with a pure motivation to make a difference in people’s lives.
